I don't think we are. I believe the values of America have diminshed greatly and that is largely due to US BELIEVERS! We aren't praying enough, and taking authority, and binding the strongman as we should.

The bible states to us clearly what will happen if we do what we are supposed to do:

1) My people that are called by my name would humble ...............................
2) What you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven .....................................
3) The weapons of our warfare are not carnial, but are mighty through GOD for the pulling down of strongholds..............

We have to regain focus as a body of believers and take dominion, subdue the earth, take authority. Greater is HE that is in us...................................

I don't think we have reached the place that we are Sodom and Gomorrah, but if we keep slacking it's possible.

Hip Hop has an influence, but so does gospel. At some point, responsibility for ones own actions must take place and one must be accountable for the choices we make. Ultimately, no rapper, singer, preacher, etc..... will stand before GOD and give an account for the things we chose to do. We have to stand before GOD on our own and take ownership of every decision we made. There will be no excuse.

It's just time for the Kingdom of GOD to fight back and take dominion over music, our young people, the hoods, politics, and etc...... We got to step up.

That's a great question.
And I can't put it all on Hip-Hop or accept that - that alone is teh problem!
We have negative images being forcefed to are youth at every angle
Video Games like Grand Theft auto, Movies (far too many to name), Televison Shows like the HBO Series AMERICAN GANGSTER for example, Advertizers who taget are youth to sell a product, The cutting of music and art programs and the miseduction and underfunding of our in the school systems. The lack of after school programs! The lack of proper sex education and true mentoring programs, the lack of more faith based youth programs, just to name a few!
The enemy is busy doin' everything he can to get at our youth and I believe we as believer need to be way more agressive in getting their attention and getting involved instead of blaming a 3 minute song on the fact that the youth is outta control. That's just my thoughts. There is good Christian or gospel or holy hiphop out there and alot of artists who arent glorifying the negative imagetry but dont get the airtime on the corporaste owned Commercial owned radio station and video outlets that don't have our youth best interest in mind.
I totlally agree with ThaCarter78- WE GOT TO STEP IT UP! not make hip-hop the scape goat and accept that as an excuse for what's goin on today!
I don't mean to do the shameless plug thing, but I offer as evidence that hip-hop can also be a tool to reach the youth when God has His hand in it my new book that just came out

This was good, I think the dialog and addressing the problem is an important first step
but I do believe we are approaching the last days and we all need to step it up
and as said above it's time for the Kingdom of GOD to fight back and stop sitting on the sidelines watching and complaining!
