"Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked: A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap distruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. Galatians 6:7-10

2 Corinthians 2:4-9
4 For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote to you, with many tears, not that you should be grieved, but that you might know the love which I have so abundantly for you.
5 But if anyone has caused grief, he has not grieved me, but all of you to some extent—not to be too severe. 6 This punishment which was inflicted by the majority is sufficient for such a man, 7 so that, on the contrary, you ought rather to forgive and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one be swallowed up with too much sorrow. 8 Therefore I urge you to reaffirm your love to him. 9 For to this end I also wrote, that I might put you to the test, whether you are obedient in all things.

This scripture put me to the test a few weeks ago and God not only gave me the strength to pass this test, he gave me the opportunity and the right words to say. And what I learned is that forgiveness is not just about relieving the person you are forgiving, it also sets you as the forgiver free in so many ways and I thanks God that through Him I was able to forgive

Ecc 8

The end of a thing is better than its beginning;

This is profound and I finally understand thanks to one of my pastors. Anyone can start something, but it takes some divine intervention for things to get completed. The pastor gave a great example. She said, "anyone can say they are going to run a marathon--that's easy when it comes out of you mouth. However, it's another story when you must endure tedious training sessions, variations in weather and terrain, aches and pains to get to the finish line". Can you imagine getting to the finish line after all of that patience and enduring, and the outcome that you actually finished what you started. It's a much better feeling that having the gift of ideas and not being able to implement---that's a God thing! Hmmmmm...food for thought.
